P&B's DIY Extreme House Makeover :: Part 3 …........ Painting, Floors & Trim~Oh My! .......….

Once again it was

All Hands on Deck!

We were back at it and now it was time to paint the house interior

from top to bottom. 

Painting before the floor is laid is so much easier as not much, if any, masking is required.

A few accent walls in the Living Room set it apart from the rest of great room.

Then it was on to the bedrooms. 

Natural light as well as construction lights helped make sure we had good coverage and had not missed a spot.

Once the painting was finished it was finally time to install the new flooring.  

The first board was laid next to the front window and we went from there.

Room by room. 

One floor after another.

Until the entire house had new floors.

They were finished just in time for a little construction zone Birthday Party! To make a simple party table we grabbed a big leftover board from the garage, set that on some big paint cans and Voilà. A few decorations and some cake and our celebration was ready to go. 

Now that the interior was painted and the house had new floors it was ready for move~in however there were more projects left to do including the trim. After the hubs gave a quick lesson in cutting trim and shared some helpful tips P&B were ready to tackle that step on their own. 

In the meantime, there is still work to be done in the kitchen. In fact, Mr. Wonderful is currently working on a new DIY custom kitchen. It will be done in 3 phases and I will be back soon to share the first phase and the amazing difference it has made.
