Ta Da ~ finished Pumpkin Pin Cushion!

I finally finished my Pumpkin Pin Cushion while I was away last week. In fact, I not only finished my little pin cushion but also made progress on another fall project that I hope to finish soon.
Yes, another wool pumpkin project is underway and yes, I love pumpkins!
I will post more photos of my Pumpkin Table Mat once it is finished.

Happy 1st Day of Fall!

There is a Place...

...and we were there last week!

The place our family goes to relax, play and enjoy quality time with each other.
A place that is full of special memories, fun activities, great stories and
dear friends.
A fall getaway at Black Butte Ranch.

Have a Beautiful Day!

Just Married! ~ Honeymoon Suite Surprise

There is a first for everything
and this was the first time we have ever decorated a
Honeymoon Suite.
The Bride's parents were planning on decorating their daughter and soon~to~be son in law's Honeymoon Suite at the Nines Hotel downtown until their schedule had become so full on the day of the wedding that they decided they needed some help.

So the day before the big event they asked what we thought about doing it for them and of course we were very excited to help. After the rehearsal dinner they gave us a box of items they were planning on putting in the room and left the rest of the decorating up to us. The next morning we decided to pick up a few more things such as more silk rose petals, two dozen fresh roses, fresh strawberries, a little silver tray and two dozen battery operated votive candles to add to our supplies.
Once we returned home from shopping I only had 30 minutes to
decorate the strawberries with chocolate.
It was just enough time to make
{ what else?... }
Bride & Groom
strawberries!
{ of course! }
Moonstruck chocolates for the pillows.
Roses for the table.
Roses in the bathroom.
We had so much fun and would definitely do this again if we had a chance!

Congratulations
B & C !

Tomato & Roasted Red Pepper Soup

It's beginning to feel a lot like Autumn
a chill is in the air;
with highs of seventy two, its time for sweaters and boots,
the perfect things to keep us warm and dry.
It's beginning to feel a lot like Autumn
soon the schools will start;
And we will be warming up, with some SOUP in our portable cups,
while we watch the football game...
{ GO BEAVS! }

The weather here in the Northwest has definitely shifted from summer to fall, almost overnight, which means SOUP is back on our menu! The first batch of the season was Tomato & Roasted Red Pepper Soup which I made last weekend when it was so stormy along with warm BLT sandwiches with fresh tomatoes from our garden. Since the soup recipe makes a lot I was able to freeze some, however, it tasted so good that we have already eaten all of the extra soup I put in the freezer. Looks like I will be making a new batch of soup very soon.

Have a wonderful FALL Saturday!

Blueberry Streusel Coffee Cake

I had some fresh blueberries that needed to be used last weekend so I decided to make this
Blueberry Streusel Coffee Cake
for our
Saturday Morning Sweet Treat.
It was so good that we ate it for snacks and dessert too!

~ Happy Tuesday ~
