signs of spring

things I am thankful for today:
walks with my children, even when it's raining
raindrops on flowers
blustery days
laughter in the kitchen
giving and getting haircuts

Joyeuses Pâques
(Happy Easter)
I've been wanting an Easter graphic so I created this one which I think goes well next to my faux chocolate bunny.

more bookmarks, more snow

While it was SNOWING....
...I made Penny Rug Bookmarks!
They are so fast and easy and fun to make. Also a great way to use up little wool trimmings leftover from larger projects. To see the Penny Rug Bookmark that inspired me go here. For instructions go here.

More March SNOW in the NW!
It has been SNOWING here since yesterday, actually off and on all week, and our colorful SPRING flowers are now covered in a blanket of WHITE as you can see.
I love the snow but I'm ready for SPRING!

Penny Rug Bookmark

I received this little Grand Surprise yesterday from my mom.
Thanks Mom!!
She just started making these little felted wool bookmarks from instructions she recently found here. She suggested making some to give to my friends at bookclub. Great Idea!

Rainbow Sugar Cookies

I made these festive cookies for St. Patrick's Day but I think they would also be fun for a party with a Rainbow or Tie-Dye theme.
To frost or not to frost??
We LOVE frosted sugar cookies but frosting would cover up the colorful rainbow design so decided to go without this time.

Also,
Just a reminder that

The Farm Chicks interview!

Today I am so excited to share with you my recent interview with
Serena Thompson!
She is the founder of The Farm Chicks Antique Show in Spokane, WA, the author of two books~The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen and The Farm Chicks Christmas, contributing editor of Country Living Magazine and she shares all of that and much, much more on her blog
Serena is amazing and her story is such an inspiration so when she offered to give interviews, back in February, about her
exciting new venture

I jumped at the chance.

Here is my interview:

Hi Serena~
Thank you so much for taking time for this interview. Your blog The Farm Chicks is such an inspiration and I know that all of your many interviews will be as well. So lets get started…
Thank you so much for having me, I really appreciate it!

Tell us a little bit about your new website My Favorite Find and how you came up with the idea.
My Favorite Find is like a virtual show-and-tell.  You can search for, find, and share great shoppes and events like estate sales, antiques shows, auctions, and more anywhere in the world and then show-and-tell your finds.

Back in December you mentioned you assembled a focus group to give you input on your new venture. How did their experience, knowledge and advice help you?
The group was full of a lot of folks that I've met throughout the years with Farm Chicks.  Some shoppe owners, some antiques show promoters, some collectors.  They were the perfect group to test out My Favorite Find.

I noticed your caption on My Favorite Find says “seek it, find it, share it” which sounds interactive. Will you be doing all the "seeking, finding and sharing" on your new website or will others contribute to it as well?
It's a user-generated content site, meaning all of the content on the site will come from the users.  I love that I can connect the seekers and the finders all in one place!

Will items be available for purchase on your new website?
The site won't offer items for sale, rather, it will help you find the places that sell the things you're seeking.

What is the launch date of My Favorite Find?
Monday, March 19th!
How can you sign up or subscribe?
It's really simple, all you need to do is visit the website and provide your email address.  http://myfavoritefind.com
Thanks again for this fun and personal opportunity to learn more about your exciting new venture~My Favorite Find! I wish you much success and look forward to sharing your answers.
Thanks so much, Jennifer.  I've enjoyed getting to talk with you!

Now that you're as excited as I am to
"Seek it, Find it, Share it"
I hope you'll be sure and check out Serena's blog
The Farm Chicks

where you'll find everything you want to know about

and a Lot MORE!

Remember,
it launches on
MONDAY!!

AND
don't forget
The Farms Chicks Antique Show is coming soon.

(I'm feelin' a Road Trip!)

~Happy St. Patrick's Day~
