Craving Chocolate Chip Cookies, bakery style!

So, I made batch and made them bigger and thicker than usual.

They did not disappoint!

The bigger the better...YUM!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Yesterday (Friday) was the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week.

Besides an amazing raffle of gifts and a delicious catered lunch, on Friday,

we also received the cutest Individual May Day Sugar Cookies. 

If that wasn't enough. . .they also brought an abundance of donuts to choose from earlier in the week to go with the Starbucks coffee they also provided for the teachers and staff.

Actually. there were a variety of morning donuts for staff on three different days! 

These cute May Day Basket cookies were so good AND each one was individually boxed and then displayed on beautiful wood display racks!

Loved it!  

YUM!

It doesn't get better than that!!

New Chalkboard

Our chalkboard was updated back on April 22

(as soon as we received the surprise phone call!)

however,

I just realized that I forgot to post it. . . silly me! 

Of course, I went right to work on it as soon as the exciting news was shared with us and it will probably stay the same for at least a couple more weeks. 

But we will see about that. 😉

Master Bathroom Makeover update

Progress is being made on our master bathroom DIY makeover. 

The last few days Mr Wonderful has been working on the floor  area around shower. 

Here he is prepping the floor for the waterproofing underlayment.

All the drains and shower connections are installed. 

Almost ready for tile!

May Day 2025

Our May flowers are beginning to bloom. 

And.....the birds were out and about last night.

They serenaded us from the trees as we sat at our fire pit enjoying the warmth of the fire.

We watched as they chased each other from tree to tree.

As well as, catching insects in flight, which is fascinating.

Summer is just around the corner. It will be here before we know it!
