●●●●●●●OREGON STATE ● BEAVERS ●●●●●●● no~sew fleece blanket ✂ { DIY projects by Miss E }

As promised, here is another one of our
{ Back~to~School } DIY projects
and the perfect project to share on
GAME DAY!
✂ ✂ ✂
These are such popular blankets and so quick and easy to make I am sort of surprised we had not made any until now but better late than never I suppose. Miss E had recently started talking about making one of these warm stadium sized blankets to take to cold football games at Reser Stadium and to use as an extra blanket on the sorority sleeping porch, which gets very cold. When she finally found time to fit this project into her already busy summer schedule she had so much fun making the first blanket that she made a second one to give as a gift.
I think the backs are as cute as the front!

Bedazzled Tumbler { DIY projects by Miss E }

 Over the last month and a half Miss E and I worked on a lot of fun, crafty projects. Most of the things we made are either to be given as gifts or were to decorate her room in the sorority.
For this project Miss E decorated the outside of an insulated tumbler with jewels to give as a gift later this fall.
She even personalized it with greek letters wrapped around the middle.
This is just the first of many fun DIY projects I will be sharing over the coming days.

Happy Friday!

New Shed/Garage { construction project ~ foundation }

I am back with a few pictures of one of the current projects keeping "mr. wonderful" busy in August. He is building a shed/garage for Dad's new golf cart and tractor which is next to the large shed/shop he built a few years back. Here are a few pictures from that project:
{pictures from the remodel/addition to the original shed}
We decided to take a ride on the golf cart to check out the progress and to deliver some cold beverages as well.
This is the view from one of the paths in the flower garden area near the pond. We are looking at the back of the shed/shop.
The pile of dirt {pictured above} from the dig out is now gone. Miss E went down a couple weeks ago with her dad to remove the pile. Miss E drove grandpa's tractor with a trailer hitched on the back to move the dirt further out back. Once the dirt was spread the trailer was replaced with a drag so that she could level out the dirt and make it smooth.
Lots of the work was done by hand, however, mr. wonderful did rent a small excavator to do some of the dig out.
He did break one sprinkler pipe...Ooops...but no worries, it was fixed in no time.
I will be back with updates as the project moves along.

Have a wonderful Labor Day!
