Project Detour

It has been a while since my last post due to technical difficulties however it looks like things are good to go!
There is a lot to catch up on so lots of posts ahead. One of the recent projects was our built-in patio bar. The original plan was to tile the floor in front of the bar however, when we tiled the patio on the other side we ran short on time and the backside did not get finished. It had a cement pad but no tile.
Well,, that has now been finished!
The hubs has been working hard on our indoor  projects and had a little time in-between to get the outside bar floor finished.
It looks so much better now.
In the next couple days he plans on finishing the edge of the pond with tile as well. Then he can check that off the list too!

Happy Saturday!

DIY Master Bathroom Update

A quick look at the progress in our Master Bathrooom.
These are the niches in progress
The lighting is always changing due to the weather so the color of the photos comes out  somewhat different each time however it is close and shows the big changes.
The shelves in the niches have been installed so the trim and tile can be added to finished the inside.

The top is the right niche and the bottom is the left as the picture shows above.
More updates are sure to be coming again soon!

Bakery Style BUTTERFINGER COOKIES

Today was a cool, mostly cloudy summer day with just a few sprinkles
so a great day to bake!
The timing was perfect as our cookie supply was getting low so even more reason to make a fun, new batch. And, I had some candy on hand, which made the decision of what type to make even easier!
Once the Butterfinger cookies were in the oven I decided to cut out some sugar cookies from leftover cookie dough I had saved in the refrigerator. There was even enough leftover chocolate drizzle to decorate the top these cute little cookies with a simple design to make them a bit more special.
Our stock of sweet treats is now looking good and
should get us through the weekend
and hopefully even a little longer.

Happy Thursday!

Precision, Patience, and 958 LEGO Pieces

Paris
City of Love
This Paris City of Love LEGO a was birthday gift
and I was so excited I got started on it right away!
It was so much fun and was going great.
I only had a few decorative pieces left to attach.
And then . . .
all of a sudden, something seemed wrong!
Very wrong!!
The more I tried to fix it,
the worse it got. . .YIKES!
I needed HELP!!
So, I sent picture texts to a couple of our many
LEGO experts in the family . . .
. . . and showed them the problem!
After consultation it was quickly determined
that this little uff-da  would require some delicate
repair. They had me deconstruct the entire
section to get to the mistake. And, it was tricky,
as it was nestled under the tower. YIKES!!
FINALLY, after my consultation and some
very careful reconstruction I had it fixed and finished
just before noon!! WOOHOO!
I love it!💕
Happy Friday!

Birthday Cake Cookies

It happened again.
I ran out of cookies!
So what's a girl to do?
Make more cookies of course!
This time birthday cake sprinkle cookies . . . YUM!
P.S. ~ Our cute bunny stopped by while I was making cookies. It is not actually ours but it does stop by regularly which I enjoy.
However, Mr. McGregor (aka: the hubs) is not as fond
of the bunny as I am, as he tends to nibble
in our garden. Nevertheless, I like to think of it as a
compliment to the gardener. Either way, he was back
and thankfully had no interest in the garden
this time. Just cute as can be. However. . . .I suppose
if he nibbled on my cookies
I might feel the same way as the hubs.
😉
Happy Saturday!🎈
