LEGO my Rome-o!

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was my LEGO Trevi Fountain.
So, when your kids give you Legos . . .
. . . rebuild Rome (one brick at a time) !!
😉
Our kids were home for a visit when I  finallfinished the Trevi Fountain Lego they gave me for Christmas. They helped me fix a few of my mistakes first
and then I completed the last 3 packages while they watched.

We were all so excited when I attached the last piece!
Needless to say, we are all
LEGO MANIACS!
Okay, now for the Coin Toss . . . ( drum roll please )
Throw it in the fountain or spend it on
more LEGO's??
 Decisions, decisions!

~ Have a great week ~

Happiness is a CAKE you can wear as a CROWN

Every time I bake, I realize that life is too short for small cakes.
However, baking cakes in all sizes seems to cover all the bases when it comes to sharing.
A cake for home.
With whipped cream bling
of course! (It makes me happy!!)
And, always some cake for my team/friends at school
because a bundt cake is just love sculpted into edible geometry.
Right?! 😉
There are three sizes of bundt cakes this time,
but only one way to devour them . . .
. . . without hesitation!

When in doubt, bake a bundt!!

Happy Wednesday!

Chicken Pot Pie

This is the ultimate comfort food! At least we think so.
It is also a tasty way to use up leftover roasted chicken.
Peas, carrots, cream and seasoning were added and then it was topped off with a flaky crust.
We had something similar at a restaurant in Michigan recently so we decided to try and recreate the amazing taste and texture.
We both agreed it turned out at as good or maybe even better despite
the fact that we didn't have the cute individual cast iron skillets to serve it in. No worries.
Either way, we know for sure, that we will be making it again.

Yum!

Valentines Day Class Crowns

Easy peasy paper plate crowns.
It was a busy week preparing for our Valentines Day classroom party.
Lots of paper plates and hearts to cut for these cute crowns we made with our kiddos during our classroom party.
If the crown fits, wear it—especially on
Valentine's Day!
And flowers blooming in the  backyard in Winter.
It doesn’t get better than that!

Happy Saturday!

Oatmeal Cookies with glaze

Sweet treat for the Week!
Mr. Wonderful loves oatmeal raisin cookies so oatmeal cookies it was!!
He prefers them plain however I could not resist adding a little drizzle.
No complaints! He loved the little extra icing on top.

Have a Great Week!

Dinner then Dessert!

Some days call for pasta, others for cinnamon and sugar.
Balance is key, so tonight it was Chicken Alfredo. . .
. . . followed by
HOMEMADE
Frosted Snickerdoodles!

"Mamma mia, why is my fettuccine the same shade as my cookies?"
Snickerdoodles: because happiness should be frosted and sprinkled with cinnamon!
When your dinner looks like a winter landscape—deliciously edible.
Warning: May cause spontaneous happiness.
This dinner: brought to you by *50 Shades of Beige*!

Happy Tuesday!
