This was the most unexpected, unplanned part of our trip!
We traveled in the comfort of a private Venetian motorboat and enjoyed a panoramic boat ride through the magical Venetian Lagoon.
Not sure how this happened but sat back and enjoyed a spectacular, peaceful ride to Murano.
Through the calm river and under beautiful bridges we went on this classic boat.
We cruised along Venice's most famous waterway . . .
. . . followed by a trip across the Venetian Lagoon to the
renowned glass-blowing island of Murano.
We arrived at . . .
. . . the oldest glassmaking factory
and greeted at the boat, still unsure of what to expect.
Next, we were escorted into the workshop . . .
. . . to witness the amazing art of Italian Glass Blowing.
It was just us and the glassmaker.
It was so awesome.
We loved the horse and asked if we could buy it but were told it was not for sale.
It was mesmerizing: skilled artisans transforming molten glass into elegant vases, intricate chandeliers, and delicate figurines with practiced ease. From there we were escorted on a private tour of all the beautiful glass art.
We wandered through the gallery and admired all the beautiful glass products.
Truly amazing works of art.
On our way out we stopped to visit with the manager/owner.
Then we were off to explore the rest of the island which was beautiful.
Absolutely Beautiful!
So peaceful and quaint.
We had an amazing day!
And still do not know how we were so lucky to get this private tour
but enjoyed every moment.
Happy Saturday!
