............"french" roommate INITIALS ................ ............. { DIY projects by Miss E } .............

Miss E made these pretty "french" INITIALS for her roommate and herself.
She bought wood letters, painted them pink and then covered them with handwritten french words.
You will  notice that she only used words beginning with the letter that corresponded with each INITIAL.
She originally thought she would hang them on the back of the desk chairs until she found out that the chairs needed to be covered to match her room theme so she ended up putting the INITIALS on the shelves above each of their desks.

I will be back tomorrow with more
Sorority Study Room
DIY projects!

Have a beautiful day!

Welcome ~ Bonjour { sorority study room decor }

Here are a few things we picked up for Miss E's Sorority Study Room. The Welcome sign was one of the first treasures we spotted. We loved the acorns for fall and thought it would be cute for their door. It also fits in well with the Alpha Gamma Delta mascot, the squirrel. Once we got everything home and her room theme was coming together we decided it would be fun to change the WELCOME letters to BONJOUR.

I made a template of the bottom part of the acorn and used burlap to cut out the shapes. I happened to also have the perfect brown glittery card stock which I used to cut out the letters. Miss E hot glued the letters to the burlap and then used double sided tape to attach the acorns. She didn't want them to be permanently attached in case she decided to change it back to Welcome later on. We were very pleased with how it turned out.
Tomorrow I will be posting DIY Roommate Initials
and at the end of the week
the
Sorority Room Reveal!

Have a fantastic day!

painted metal AGD letters {DIY projects by Miss E}

Miss E bought metal AGD { Alpha Gamma Delta } letters that were painted brown. She covered them in PINK spray paint and then used her fingernail to scratch off the pink paint to expose the brown underneath which gave the letters a vintage look.
Tomorrow I will share her fun and versatile door decoration and by the end of the week the
Sorority Room Reveal.

Happy Monday!

Bedazzled AGD letters { DIY projects by Miss E }

Here is another fancy project Miss E made before she left for college.
She painted wood letters and then added jewels to make them sparkle.
~ easy to make & so pretty ~
I have been busy the last couple of weeks preparing posts of all the fun projects Miss E and I worked on over the last couple of months. Next week I will begin sharing projects that we made specifically for her sorority study room. As the week goes along you will find out the theme that she chose, the colors she used and
by the end of the week
it will be time for the
Sorority Room Reveal
which will be pictures of all the finished projects in their place in her room!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

●●●●●●●OREGON STATE ● BEAVERS ●●●●●●● no~sew fleece blanket ✂ { DIY projects by Miss E }

As promised, here is another one of our
{ Back~to~School } DIY projects
and the perfect project to share on
GAME DAY!
✂ ✂ ✂
These are such popular blankets and so quick and easy to make I am sort of surprised we had not made any until now but better late than never I suppose. Miss E had recently started talking about making one of these warm stadium sized blankets to take to cold football games at Reser Stadium and to use as an extra blanket on the sorority sleeping porch, which gets very cold. When she finally found time to fit this project into her already busy summer schedule she had so much fun making the first blanket that she made a second one to give as a gift.
I think the backs are as cute as the front!
Go BEAVS!

Bedazzled Tumbler { DIY projects by Miss E }

 Over the last month and a half Miss E and I worked on a lot of fun, crafty projects. Most of the things we made are either to be given as gifts or were to decorate her room in the sorority.
For this project Miss E decorated the outside of an insulated tumbler with jewels to give as a gift later this fall.
She even personalized it with greek letters wrapped around the middle.
This is just the first of many fun DIY projects I will be sharing over the coming days.

Happy Friday!
