Gluten Free Cookies

Gluten Free Cookies for my Team at school!

Every now and then I like to bake a sweet treat to share with the team of teachers I work with at school. I am so accustomed to baking with regular flour that I forget to make some gluten free treats for my gluten free friends. However, this week I remembered and decided to surprise everyone with home baked, Gluten Free, Frosted Sugar Cookies.

Once the traditional GF Sugar Cookies were in the oven I also tried a new GF Sugar Cookie recipe. For this batch I cut out the cookies with a small circle cookie cutter and used a completely different frosting as well. Everyone liked them both!

Master Bathroom Remodel / Makeover ~ UPDATE

Our Master Bathroom is starting to take shape.

DIY Cabinet is finished!

It has been installed in the toilet room.

Most of the molding has been installed as well.

The toilet room ARCH is finally finished.

It took awhile to get it just how we wanted it however it was worth the extra time and materials to get it perfect!

It looks great.

Now we are deciding on a light fixture for above the tub and this one is near the top of the list.

Weekend Baking :: Blueberry Cheesecake Cookies

 This was a good weekend to try out a new recipe.

The ingredients were unique and sounded like a 

good combination.

So, I gave them a try and was not disappointed. 

In fact, they are delicious!

Hopefully they will hold up well for a few days since 

the hubs is not a fan of cream cheese,

 which means, 

I may need to eat them all. Hmm?! 

Nah, I think I will share them with my team at school! 

I’m sure I can find some takers! 😉

Monday Updates

It has been a fun and busy month! Back to School, more progress on the DIY Master Bathroom Project and Oktoberfest {more on Oktoberfest coming soon}.

Always a good idea!!

There was a little time for some baking so we are good on sweets {for the time being}😉!

Mr. Wonderful did not like how the first arched doorway molding turned out so he started over. This time it came out perfect. He still needs to add trim and paint however the project is moving along.

And, a batch of one of our favorite fall sweet treats . . .

 . . . homemade Pumpkin Cookies! YUM!!

DIY Master Bathroom Update :: Mirrors & DIY Toilet Room Arch

It has been a busy month so far with school training, meetings and set-up. It is hard to believe Fall 🍂 is just around the corner.

However, the hubs bathroom project continues to move closer to the finish line. We decided to replace the very large vanity mirror with two smaller mirrors for a more updated look. 

It was very hard to decide what style to choose so for now they are simple beveled edge mirrors. 

In the future, if I can find a mirror style I like 

it will be easy to switch them out.

In the meantime, these will be great and we can move on to deciding on a paint color for the wall.

While we were deciding on mirrors, Mr. Wonderful started working on the DIY arched entry to the toilet room.

This was the first one he has ever made so after some trial, error, templates, fittings and adjustments, 

 the learning curve produced the perfect fit!

We love it and it is now ready for some paint.

But that is not all, oh no, that is not all!  

He is currently building the cabinet that will be installed above the toilet. It will be great for storage and give the room a more finished look. In the meantime, he is finishing the top of the backsplash while working on the cabinet and my job is to choose light fixtures which is easier said than done.
