Doctor Doodle { made into stickers! }

 This was a first for me.

Turning one of my doodles into stickers.

This was a drawing I made back in March. Shortly after it was finished I decided to try adding a little color. I was not sure if I would like it with color or not so to preserve my original drawing I made a copy of my original and colored the copy instead. 

The color really made it pop and gave me another idea. How about a frame? A frame first and then some names for the doctors. It was beginning to take shape but what next? What would I do with this cute little square picture? Before long another thought occurred to me. Could I turn this into something even more fun and maybe somewhat useful?

Bingo…stickers it was!

They turned out great and have been used as little seals for envelopes, as well as,

 a decoration for water bottles,

 and even some bling for badges! Oh what fun!!

The Dog Days of Summer

Bring heat so very hot

The sidewalks steam so scorching,

I could fry an egg without a pot.

The heat comes on so quickly

But will leave so very soon

And Fall will come with its cool, cold air

St. Nicholas Day

A great day to bake a batch of sugar cookies.

Nothing fancy. Just some simple, festive cookies that taste great. 

Even though there are no shoes lined up in front of the fireplace anymore, to fill with little surprises, it is still a fun reason to bake some sweet treats.

Rainy Day doodle

We have been drenched this week with a crazy amount of rain coming from an extreme Atmospheric River in the sky according to the experts. We usually refer to it as the Pineapple Express but whatever you call it is a soaker. 

The skies have been mostly grey the last several days however our spring flowers are beginning to bloom which provides some needed color spots around the yard and a reminder that spring is just around the corner.

So, when it is wet and cloudy day after day it is good to remember that you can't make a rainbow without a little rain.

Oodles of Doodles: August

This Polly Wolly would like to doodle all the day but usually just in the morning to make lists and get organized and these days organization is key.

There has been a lot of Thread & Sawdust flying around here lately. Mr Wonderful and I have been working on some fun projects that I will be sharing soon but in the meantime, I will be doodling!
