DIY Master Bath update - Toilet Room & TUB

It was a busy weekend, however, I am happy to report, progress was made on the Master Bathroom DIY Makeover.

Our new toilet room is coming along. The toilet should be installed and ready for use in the next couple of days which will be nice.

The new bath tub was delivered so that was exciting however it caused a little anxiety as the hubs and I began to move it into the house and up the stairs.

Mr Wonderful did the heavy lifting while I helped guide and turn as we went. There were some tight spots however we managed to figure out how to maneuver the corners without any damage. Whew!

It can sit there while we make the final decision on the fixtures and tile and he gets the floor and walls ready for plumbing and tiling.

In the meantime, he is hoping to finish the Toilet Room first . . .

. . . so he can get the toilet installed and operational for a little more convenience.

DIY Master Bathroom Project Update

Mr. wonderful is making progress on the master bathroom. 

It is beginning to really take shape.

Lots of decisions to make, but so far so good!

Michigan takes the Crown!

Not only has it been sunny recently 

but our flowers are blooming 

and the rhododendrons 

are especially big and beautiful. 

In addition to that,  

Michigan not only held off  UConn last night but 

WON their 2nd NCAA basketball title!

Monday Fun-day! (bonus edition)

😉An unexpected day off . . . oh what fun!

So I decided to BAKE! Because...why not?! You can never have too many sweets on hand...right?! Well, that's what I like to think. So. . . .

. . . . today became a baking day. 😄

After I made the Butterfinger cookies I noticed I had one banana left, that was beyond our liking, and needed to be used. So, I decided one banana was just enough to make a small batch of Banana Cookies.

Sure enough, it was perfect for a dozen Banana Cookies. YUM!

Tore it up to Build it Better

Our Master Bath Update/Remodel is coming along.

Demolition is coming close to an end.

Now it is on to plumbing and wiring and construction.

The toilet, shower and tub are all being moved to new locations.

Mr. Wonderful has framed in a new wall and moved the plumbing.

He moved the shower drain was moved as well. 

Still trying to decide on all the plumbing fixtures. Hopefully we will have it narrowed down soon. In the meantime, lots of work ahead.

What do you call a Burger without a bun?

A Naked Burger! 

However, it looks pretty well dressed to me. 😉 

No bun no problem. The patty is well covered with great toppings and homemade potato salad was the perfect side. 

Biscuits and Gravy were on the menu last week also. Homemade biscuits and gravy from scratch. Just the way we like it. 

 BBQ'd Steaks and homemade Potato Salad made it on the menu last week as well.

Also, in case you are wondering about our master bath project, I will be back soon with an update. The tear out is about finished and Mr. Wonderful is in the process of moving drains and pipes.

Blooms, Beams, and Berry Dreams

That's what Spring is made of!

It is beginning to look and feel like spring which puts me in the mood for Strawberries.

Early bloomers lack depth and do not have the same taste, texture or sweetness that June berries have. It's always better to wait for the real deal. However, that being said, they are hard to resist.

And, as the story goes, I could not wait. So, of course, we bought some 

and I made shortcake!

It did not disappoint as my expectations were in check.

Oh, my achin' back!

Actually, not my achin' back but Mr. Wonderful's back. He does all the hard work and heavy lifting, which goes without saying. And today was no exception. 

The master bath is now gutted. The only thing left is the toilet, the cabinets (which, at this point, we are planning on keeping, but that could change) and a little tile that will all be removed and replaced once we have the new tile.

The photos say it all. 

A lot of debri that needs to be dealt with but other than that it is a beautiful day which calls for a BBQ!
