A Royal Afternoon Tea ~ { games }

The month of May has been full of Tea Parties. Early Saturday morning Miss E and I had a tea for two while we watched the Royal Wedding. Later in the morning we went to a fancy Royal Wedding Viewing Party and watched a recorded version with our friends while eating cream scones and sipping tea. It was a fun weekend. Now I am back with more about our annual mother ~ daughter tea party.
We had two games this year. The first game we played was Pip, Pip, Cheerio / What did you say? which was a word match game. To customize the game for our party I looked up British words, most of which had to do with tea and treats, and the American translation.
We passed out printouts of the British words along with pencils and each guest had a numbered scratch off ticket tucked behind their menu. Once everyone had filled in their answers we passed out a tea cup full of pennies and took turns scratching of our tickets to reveal the answers.
It was a lot of fun.
Before we served the pastries and cakes we played a game called Spill the Tea. I made customized tea bags with a quote on the envelope and a question on the tea bag inside. We passed around a tea pot full of tea bags and everyone reached in and took one. Each guest had a different quote to read and question to answer.
It was a fun afternoon. I will be wrapping up the tea party posts this week with the Royal Afternoon Tea ~ Fit for a Queen menu and table.

Happy Monday!
