Water Ski Tournament, BBQ and Concert {more weekend fun!}

After the Tamale Making Party on Saturday I headed to the country for a BBQ and Concert at a private water ski lake.

They were having their annual Water Skiing Tournament and Ron was there to help our friend with the BBQ.

This year they had a private concert by

the 

Katie Rose Trio

which was really fun.

The clouds moved in late in the afternoon and after dinner we had some thunder and a little wind but the rain held off  {except for a few sprinkles which really didn't amount to anything}. We took a walk around the lake after dinner along the well groomed path. If I would have known about all the big, juicy blackberries I would have brought a bucket and picked some to take home. Maybe next time.

This was the first time I had been to THE lake that I hear so much about. I loved the drive out through all the hills and farmland. Who would have known that nestled between wheat fields and tall trees is a private little ski lake?
