lemon~cream cheese Croissants

I made these lemon~cream cheese croissants for breakfast yesterday morning and served them with a little leftover lemon curd which, you may remember, I had originally made as filling for some lemon cupcakes.
{Lemon curd keeps well in the refrigerator and since there is always extra we like to dip, dab or spread it on just about everything...YUM!!}

LEMONS
sammy stein

Bitter, sharp, packed so neat
Whose for a lemon treat?
Suck it slow, your mouth contorts
Eat it quick, you might feel sick
But add it little to a drink
or whip it in some cream and sink
your spoon into the lemon~goo
I bet, like me, you like lemons too.

  9. I made a double batch of these last weekend and they were gone in minutes. My kids loved them! Came back to get the recipe to make again as I was told these definitely need to be made again. :)

  12. I just came across the recipe and they sound yummy! The croissants look like a real croissant, but no yeast? I wonder how they would be if you added a bit of yeast? I have a russian recipe for a nut-filled croissant but it has a bit of yeast...that dough has sour cream instead of cottage cheese.

  13. I did make these just as the recipe directed and they were wonderful! Friends all enjoyed them. I even made a partial batch with gluten free flour. Several friends were over for a day of stitching, one is gluten free. I was going to give her the remaining ones and she had eaten all the gluten free ones!
